ASUS ROG SE Duo 16

This powerful gaming laptop features an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX processor, 32GB of memory, and two 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe solid-state drives in RAID 0 configuration. It has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 dedicated graphics card for pro-level gaming and content creation. The laptop’s audio system provides immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus 15 Duo SE comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX processor. This processor is the fastest Cezanne-H model AMD lists. It is a direct competitor of the Intel Core i9-11980HK, with a TDP of 45W. Other models include the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Ryzen 9 5800H processors. The base configurations also differ when it comes to graphics. The Ryzen 9 6900HX processor is compatible with a GeForce RTX 3060 or 3080. Both GPUs can handle 90W of sustained power and deliver maximum multi-threaded performance.

The ASUS Duo 16 comes with Windows 11 Pro, so there’s no bloatware. In addition, it has a one-year limited warranty. This laptop is backed by Asus’s excellent support in Tech Support Showdown tests and Best and Worst Brands rankings. As a gaming laptop, the Duo 16 comes with two screens and a secondary display. The Duo 16 also features a matched set of three vents on either side of the laptop. The bottom of the computer is angled. The two big fans sit at the bottom and extend a half-inch beyond the display. It is not an extremely portable laptop, but its weight and size make it an excellent desktop replacement.

Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme

If you consider upgrading to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, you might consider getting a Gigabyte X570 Aorous Xtreme motherboard. This high-end motherboard supports the AMD AM4 CPU socket and offers excellent connectivity options. It’s also designed to support overclocking and has a more significant EATX form factor.

The X570 Aorus combines a full-size form factor with powerful performance. It features an ESS SABRE ES9218 DAC with 130dB SNR. The X570 supports up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory at up to 4400 MHz. Lastly, the Aorus Xtreme has two addressable RGB LED strip headers.

MSI has a range of affordable entry-level motherboards for Ryzen 9 5900X and AMD X470 chipsets. The MSI Meg X570 Gaming Plus motherboard offers the latest high-end AMD X570 motherboard chipset and full-size ATX form factor for a low-cost option. However, this motherboard is also less expensive than the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme.

While it is true that the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X works with all motherboards of the same generation, it’s not a requirement that you must have the same type of motherboard. If your motherboard supports the AMD X570 chipset, you’ll be able to overclock this processor for the best possible results. It is also fully compatible with AMD’s 3rd generation Ryzen processors.

MSI MEG X570 Tomahawk WiFi

It will cost $189. The MSI MEG X570 Tomahawk WiFi is expected to hit the shelves in Q1 of this year.

The X570 Tomahawk has an ISL69247 controller for its VRM, which comprises six signals. ISL6617 phase doublers double these signals. The X570S also includes a WiFi 6E card but lacks a 3.2 Gen2x2 (20 GB/s) port. On the other hand, the Gaming Edge WiFi uses an Infineon IR35201 controller with four core VRM signals and IR3598 phase doublers.

The MSI MEG X570 Toma Hawk WiFi has a 6-layer matte-black PCB with light grey stenciling in the PCIe area. The IO heatsink is grey but has an MSI logo etched. The chipset’s heatsink is grey, too. Only one integrated RGB lighting is located beneath the chipset, which is very saturated and bright. If you want external RGB lighting, there are also onboard headers.

The MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi is an affordable yet effective AMD Ryzen 9 5900X motherboard. It is a worthy competitor to Gigabyte B550, Aorus Pro V2, and Asus PRIME X570-Pro. This motherboard marks the return of MSI to honor the recovery process after its disastrous X570 Gaming Edge WiFi.
